My love affair with Hearts in Nature

I am a very sentimental person.  I love watching Hallmark movies, even though I know how it will end.  I love happy endings, treats, thoughtfulness, hearts and flowers, and random acts of kindness.  I am definitely "a happily ever after" kind of girl.

I was reading a devotion today from a book called "Devotions for the Hungry Heart" and she shared this story with her grandchildren that I would love to share with mine.

God shows us His love by showing us heart shapes in nature.  They are all around us and pop up in unexpected places.  I like to see them so He shows them to me.  It's like a little note from heaven right in the middle of the day.  When I see it, I think about how much God loves us and I have a little party in my heart.

Had to laugh at the heart-shaped bum.

I loved the hearts on the wings of this butterfly.

Heart-shaped rocks.

So my darlings, I am hoping to have some heart adventures with you this summer.  I will start collecting some I can show you and start taking pictures of the ones I find.  Don't be surprised if we go on a heart hunt adventure.   I hope you know you are always in my heart and never far from my thoughts.

Why you have a Diva

Dearest Oz,

It did occur to me that some where along the line you will be asking...."How come I've got a Diva instead of a grandma?"

Simple answer: You were very lucky sweetie!

Maybe you will have friends that call their grandmother by a different name. Some of my friends call themselves "Granny," "Nana", "Meme", "Nanny", "Oma", "Nan", "Gram", "Grandma", and one even calls herself "Honey Gram."

According to the dictionary a Diva is a female opera singer. ( No, that's not me unless you happen to hear me singing in the shower.)

A Diva is a person who controls what is going on in her environment and most especially her inner circle. Your Diva is bigger than life and the stories I can tell you kiddo! I'm hoping to be someone really special in your life. I want an active part in your life. I want to sweep you away on excursions, bake cookies with you, make up stories and corny jokes, have playdough in my hair, play trucks, climb trees and kiss away your boo-boos.

A Diva is a Star and I'm prepared to be the "twinkle factor in your life".

Why I love being your Diva

Why Daisy is Looking forward to being a Granny Diva

  1. I adore my kids and can hardly wait to spoil their offspring.
  2. Babies are such fun and when they cry you can give them back to their momma's.
  3. I love to buy toys and books.
  4. They make Christmas so much more fun.
  5. They have the cutest clothes.
  6. It's an opportunity to see your child as a caring adult.
  7. I can use some of the acquired knowledge I gained while raising their parent.
  8. I can break out the apron and bake cookies again.
  9. I can watch all the kid TV I want and say, "The baby was watching it!"
  10. Babies think you can do anything.....so you do!
  11. I can read some great children's book like "Is Your Momma a Llama?"
  12. Babies are so trusting and their laughter is contagious.
  13. What could be better than a little hand curled around your finger
